Hello again. This is the second and final part of Jeffrey & Tyng’s wedding reception. A very laid back reception, where family and friends on this side of the continent get together to celebrate the couple. Sans the usual formality. Which is really nice for a change.
Continuing from where we left off yesterday, guests started streaming in slowly from noon onwards. Jeffrey & Tyng greeted both family and friends and brought them to the lakeside and the beautiful garden at the back.
I took the chance to get a few shots of both parents. I love taking pictures of older couples who have made it through the test of time, coz they are the inspirational ones. Which explains why I love those couple interview bits in ‘When Harry Met Sally.’
By 2pm or so, we realised that the weather prediction was gonna be right as the dark clouds started to move in and eventually it started to drizzle. But Jeffrey & Tyng did not let the rain fall on their parade, as they continue to wear those smiles and brought out the umbrella.
During the speech, Jeffrey’s mum, Patty got a bit emotional during the speech. So Joey continued it for her. Food was served shortly as the rain poured harder. It was then we decided to do a makeshift photobooth to get the momentum going. It was fun!
Rain stopped. So we quickly headed near the lake to get some family shots when the UFO decided to land. You’ll understand what I meant when you see the shot. Ha. Then the rain decided to pay another visit, so the dessert booth was opened and the dancing began.
Finally, at about 9pm or so, the rain decided to leave. For good. So everyone headed to the lawn area for a spectacular 1.5 hour fireworks show. Yes, you read that correctly. They put Macy’s Fourth of July gig to shame for sure.
All in all, it was a splendid wedding, if I can say so myself. Enjoy the shots.
Big thanks to Jenny for being a wonderful second shooter. Some of her shots were shown on both posts. And finally, congratulations and thanks again to Jeffrey & Tyng. The real journey has begun for both of you. 🙂
